The strength of the Open Source Software development

An active Community is the strength of an Open Source project. Sharing requirements, experiences, suggestions we can build all together a better solution.

SpagoWorld projects are not "open source packages": they are a free software (GNU LGPL, no enterprise or professional edition for a fee!). You can use them to fit your own needs. Often, you have to develop a software project, or a vertical package on top of the OSS solution, or your business is in the delivering of consultancy as well. All of these needs are very different each other and their "mix and match" let us to grow in the right way.

Spago World

One of the biggest problems of the new generation of "mission critical" open source solutions is its management. They usually are managed by one company working for profit: it discourages the community growth and a lot of developers/users don't return anything to the community. Honestly, SpagoWorld projects are actually managed by Engineering Ingegneria Informatica, a for-profit company: we'll be glad if you'll be our client, using our support services. But we'll be glad as well if you'll contribute to the projects life with your own experience.

Spago World is a community of companies, consultants, users and developers characterized by a collaborative approach to achieve their own goals. Not only software, but also experience, interest, requirements. You can:

  • get in touch with the project teams asking or sending information
  • find and fix bugs or implement/develop new features and send them to us so they could be integrated in the software of the projects
  • collaborate in documentation development and/or in its translation in different languages
  • develop new projects demo for a specific business sector
  • become a contributor (see our Governance policies about it): send your request to our projects owner
  • send ideas or suggestions for new services, training, opportunities.
