Spagic in a nutshell
Spagic is a SOA Enterprise Integration Platform
composed by a set of visual tools and back-end applications
to design develop and manage SOA/BPM solutions.
Spagic solution
Spagic is a solution composed by a set of visual tools and
back-end applications oriented towards design, realization,
deploy and monitoring of ESB infrastructures adherent to
the SOA paradigm.
Spagic provides also out of the box SOA/ESB and BPM capabilities
to end users/developers through its graphical environment.
The Spagic Benefits
- Improves the efficiency of all the actors involved in
integration processes: analysts, planners, developers
and managers working with Spagic; a team can model
some process and another one can define technical
concepts with specific tools (JBI SA, BPEL, mapping, ETL).
- Improves the efficient management of services-to-services,
processes-to-services and process-to-process. All
activities can span over organizations and
geographical locations.
- Improves the efficiency of existing open source ESB/BPM:
Spagic model enhances the features of some engines to
realize a complete ESB/BPM platform.
- Takes benefit from the best choice of specific engines
the end user needs: Spagic allows composing the platform
with different open source ESBs and BPM engines.
The Spagic SOA/BPM Enterprise Integration Platform
Spagic is an infrastructure integrating different open source
components and solutions to realize the FOSS Enterprise
Integration Platform. The solution can be easily adopted by
different categories of users involved in integration
projects, such as: analysts defining the integration
processes, developers realising application services,
users monitoring and managing the entire system.
As a BPM platform, it provides support for different process
types, through the Eclipse STP Intermediate Model: easy
orchestration (Service Assembly), complete orchestration
(BPEL) and data integration oriented services by means
of the integration of Talend Open Studio solution.
Highlights
- The graphical environment, Eclipse Spagic Studio,
allows the utilisation of a unique interface to
define processes, create services and to configure
the platform. Using Spagic Studio it is possible
to start with BPMN visual tool, to use specific
designer (such as BPEL and ETL designer) and to
manage the development activity (WSDL generation,
rules definition, mediation, custom services).
- The web environment, Spagic Enterprise Monitoring,
allows process operators to manage processes,
instances (also to correlate), to identify problems,
restart processes with errors and to identify the
business values added by services.
Free Open Source Software
Released under the GNU LGPL license, Spagic is hosted by OW2 Consortium. It's a free open source project: no enterprise or professional edition!
